Terms & Conditions
These are the terms that cover playing at Ollo, becoming a member, joining coaching, booking events and using our website. We’ve tried to keep them readable, because we want you to actually read them.
If you book a court, join a session, become a member or use our site, you’re agreeing to these terms. If something doesn’t make sense, just ask — we’d rather have the conversation than leave you guessing.
Who we are
When we say “Ollo”, “we”, “us” or “our”, we mean:
Northern Padel Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16587352).
Our flagship venue is Ollo Roundhouse, Graingers Way, Whitehall, Leeds LS12 1BN. You can contact us at hello@ollopadel.com.
Using our website
You’re welcome to browse, share and enjoy our website. A few sensible ground rules:
- Everything on the site (words, photos, the Ollo logo and brand) belongs to us or our partners. Please don’t copy or republish it without asking.
- Don’t use the site to do anything illegal, harmful or designed to disrupt the service.
- Our site sometimes links to other sites (like Playtomic). We can’t be responsible for what happens on those — they have their own terms and policies.
- We do our best to keep the site accurate and online, but we can’t guarantee it’ll be perfect or always available. We may update or pause it without warning.
Booking a court
Court bookings, coaching sessions, leagues and most events at Ollo are booked through Playtomic. When you book through Playtomic, their terms and cancellation policy apply alongside ours.
Pay and play
Anyone can book a court — you don’t need to be a member. Bookings are confirmed once payment has gone through.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel a court booking up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Cancellations after that window are non-refundable, because we usually can’t re-book the court.
No-shows and late arrivals
If you don’t turn up, the booking still counts and you won’t get a refund. If you’re running late, please let reception know — we’ll do our best, but your session will be shortened to keep the courts running on time.
Court etiquette
Please turn up a ten minutes early, finish on time so the next group can get on, and look after the court while you’re using it.
Memberships
Memberships give you priority booking, included court time, member events and other perks depending on the tier you choose. Here’s how they work.
Joining
Membership starts when we confirm your application and your first payment has gone through. You’ll get full details of your tier, your perks and any limits when you join.
Payments
Monthly memberships are paid by direct debit or recurring card payment. Annual memberships are paid up front. Prices are shown on our website and may change with 30 days’ notice — we’ll always tell you before any change takes effect.
Cancelling your membership
Monthly memberships can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice. Annual memberships run for the full year and aren’t refundable, except in the limited circumstances set out below.
You can cancel by emailing hello@ollopadel.com. We’ll confirm the date your membership ends.
Pausing your membership
Life happens. You can ask to pause your monthly membership for up to 3 months in any 12-month period. Just email us.
Refunds in special circumstances
If you can’t use your membership because of long-term illness, injury or relocation, get in touch — we’ll try to find a fair solution, which might be a pause, a refund of unused time, or a transfer.
Founder Membership
Founder Memberships are one-off, limited in number and non-refundable once confirmed. The benefits listed at the point of joining are honoured for life, with reasonable adjustments if we ever need to evolve any of them.
Suspending or ending a membership
We may suspend or end a membership if a member breaks these terms, our venue rules, or behaves in a way that puts our team or other members at risk. Where it’s fair to do so, we’ll talk to you first.
Coaching
Our coaching sessions are designed to be friendly, social and run by qualified coaches. A few specifics on how they work.
Booking and payment
Private coaching, joint coaching classes and the Coaching Membership are booked through Playtomic or directly with us. Payment is taken at the time of booking.
Cancellation and rescheduling
You can reschedule or cancel a coaching session up to 24 hours before the start time. Cancellations after that window are non-refundable, because the coach’s time is committed.
If we cancel a session
If a session can’t go ahead because of something on our side — coach illness, court issue, weather affecting an outdoor court — we’ll move you to another session or refund you in full. Your choice.
Ability levels
Our coaches will guide you towards the right session for your level. If you’ve joined the wrong group, just tell us and we’ll find a better fit.
Events, tournaments and socials
We run socials, tournaments, leagues and one-off events all year. Specific event terms (entry fees, formats, prizes) will be set out at the point of booking. These general rules apply to all of them.
- Booking — places are confirmed once payment has gone through, and capacity is limited.
- Cancellation — you can cancel up to 24 hours before an event for a full refund unless the listing says otherwise. After that, refunds aren’t usually possible.
- If we cancel — if we have to cancel or significantly change an event, we’ll offer a transfer or a full refund.
- Behaviour — social events are friendly and inclusive. Anyone making them otherwise will be asked to leave.
At the venue
Ollo is a social space first and a padel venue second. We want everyone to feel welcome — and to keep everyone safe — so a few house rules apply.
- Please follow any instructions from the Ollo team while you’re at the venue. They’re there to help you have a great time.
- Wear comfortable sports clothing and trainers with non-marking soles. Anything that damages the court surface isn’t allowed on court.
- Bring your own racket and balls or hire from us — we’ve got everything you need at reception.
- Be kind. Aggressive, discriminatory or threatening behaviour isn’t tolerated, and we’ll ask anyone behaving that way to leave.
- We operate as a licensed venue. Alcohol is only available from our bar and only for over-18s with valid ID. Bringing your own alcohol isn’t allowed.
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted anywhere inside the venue.
- Please look after personal items. We can’t take responsibility for valuables left unattended (but we do have lockers).
We reserve the right to refuse entry or to ask someone to leave. Where we have to, we’ll try to be fair and explain why.
Photography and filming
We sometimes photograph and film around the venue and at events for our website and social media. If you’d rather not appear in any of it, please tell a member of the team on the day — and if anything slips through, let us know and we’ll remove it.
Guests are welcome to film and photograph their own play, but please be considerate of other people on court and around the venue. Anything intrusive or filmed in private areas (changing rooms, toilets) is strictly not allowed.
Kids and juniors
Padel is brilliant for kids and we love seeing families at Ollo. A few specifics:
Children under 16 must be supervised by a responsible adult while at the venue, unless they’re booked into a coached junior session or junior programme.
Bookings and memberships for under-18s must be made by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for their behaviour and safety at the venue.
Lost property
We hold lost property at reception for up to 30 days. Anything unclaimed after that is donated to charity or disposed of.
Pricing, promotions and gift vouchers
Prices are shown on our website and at the venue. We can update prices at any time — but we’ll always honour the price you paid for a booking that’s already confirmed.
Promotional codes, intro offers and discounts have their own rules, which are shown at the point of offer. They usually can’t be combined with other offers.
Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase, non-refundable and non-transferable for cash.
Liability — the legal bit
Padel is an active sport, played at speed. You’re responsible for playing within your ability, warming up properly and using equipment safely. By playing at Ollo, you accept that any sport carries some risk.
Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else we can’t legally exclude. Subject to that:
- We’re responsible for losses that are a reasonably foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, but not for any losses that weren’t foreseeable when you booked.
- We’re not responsible for damage to or loss of personal belongings at the venue. Please use the lockers.
- Where we’re providing services to a business (for example a corporate event), our liability is limited to the amount you’ve paid us for that booking.
If you have a medical condition that might affect your play, please tell our team and your coach before your session.
Things outside our control
If something completely outside our control stops us delivering a session, event or service — for example extreme weather affecting an outdoor court, a power cut, a strike, or a government restriction — we’ll let you know as soon as we can and offer a reschedule or a refund. We won’t be liable for any wider losses.
If something goes wrong
If anything about your experience at Ollo isn’t right, please tell us. Speak to a member of the team at the venue, or email hello@ollopadel.com. We genuinely want to know, and we’ll do our best to put it right.
Changes to these terms
We’ll update these terms from time to time as Ollo grows. When we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top and, if it’s a big one, we’ll let members know directly.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be dealt with by the courts of England and Wales.
